Applications made through the postal service

Applicants may also send applications to the Visa Application Centre using the postal service. Please note VFS cannot accept responsibility for any applications sent using this method.

Each application must include the following:

  • Fully completed visa application form (incomplete forms will delay processing)
  • Application fee in the form of a bankers draft made payable the "British Embassy BangKok"
  • Passport ( having 3 months validity and sufficient blank pages on both sides )
  • Photographs (see photo specifications)
  • Supporting documentation (see checklists)
  • Return Courier Fee (if required) of 180 Baht in form of a demand draft made payable to VFS Thailand Ltd if applicant resides in Bangkok.
  • Return Courier Fee (if required) of 310 Baht in form of a demand draft made payable to VFS Thailand Ltd if applicant resides in upcountry areas of Thailand.
  • Return Courier Fee( if required ) of 440 Baht in form of demand draft made payable to
    VFS Thailand Ltd if the applicant resides in the island areas of Thailand
  • Return Courier Fee( if required ) of 700 Baht in form of demand draft made payable to
    VFS Thailand Ltd if the applicant resides in the Laos or Cambodia.

Once the application has been considered passports may be collected from the Visa Application Centre. Alternatively, applicants may opt to have the passports returned by courier to the local GDA agent (see courier acceptance). Courier fees (if required) must be included with the postal application in the form of a demand draft made payable to "VFS Thailand LTD).

VFS is unable to return applications by post.

Applications will be forwarded to the Embassy and considered on the basis of the documents supplied. Incomplete applications are likely to be refused.
